Changing Yarn Color in your Project

Changing yarn and color is amazingly simple!!
Videos from the interwebs are our best friends when it comes to learning something new! Even when things are the simplest of simple, it can be SO helpful to have a visual aid.

Basically, this method works for EVERY SINGLE crochet stitch, and it's EASY! Simply use the new color yarn for the very last step in your stitch progression.

For single crochet: insert hook in stitch, YO and draw up a loop, DROP working yarn, YO with new color and pull through two loops on the hook.

For half double crochet: YO insert hook in stitch, YO and draw up a loop. Drop working yarn, YO with new color and pull through three loops on the hook.

For double crochet: YO insert hook in stitch, YO and draw up a loop, YO and pull through two loops. Drop working yarn, YO with new color and pull through remaining two loops on the hook.

A different way to work in your ends is also demonstrated briefly in this video. Stay tuned for a complete video tutorial on that subject!

PS - you may hear my daughter screaming in the background, at one point. Don't worry, she's fine. She just REEEEAAAAALLLLLLY loves Frozen.
